Bharat Jayaraman is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He received his BTech and MTech degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Utah. He was on the faculty at the University of North Carolina before joining the University at Buffalo where he served as Department Chairman from 2001 to 2009. Professor Jayaraman has been active in promoting Indo-US collaborations, and was instrumental in setting up dual Masters degree programs in Management and Engineering between Buffalo and Amrita which have been in successful operation since 2007. He is an ardent admirer of Amma and has been teaching the IAM meditation technique to faculty, staff, and students at the University at Buffalo and Western New York for the past 10 years.
