Transaction ID is the unique set of numbers for each transaction, Provided by the banks after every transaction to identify each transaction within banking systems.

• IMPS/UPI Transaction ID Format:
  • The correct transaction ID for IMPS/UPI is always of 12 Digits.
  • The correct transaction ID is always mentioned in the Bank Account Statement respective to the deposit transaction.
  • Also note that, The first 4 Digits of the Transaction ID resembles the last digit of the year, followed by the number of the day in the year.
  • IE = For 31st December 2018, Transaction ID will start with 8365XXXXXXXX.
    Similarly, for 1st January 2019, Transaction ID will start with 9001XXXXXXXX.
  • In some cases, it may be called as UTR number or Reference Number.
